Now, the world has become a very complex and dynamic place so that creativity and knowledge become a very valuable asset in competition and economic development. Connectivity and the Era of Globalization is changing the way of exchanging information, trade, and consume a product and technology in various parts of the world.

According to the Creative Economy Bill; Creative Economy is the embodiment of added value from an intellectual property right born of human creativity, based on science, cultural heritage, and technology.

“Creative Economics is all about ideas and money. This is the first type of economy where imagination and creativity determine what people want to do and produce”.

- John Howkins, (Father of Creative Economy),

Publisher of the book “The Creative Economy: How People Make Money from Ideas” (2001) -

Creative Economy (Ekraf) is a new economic paradigm that relies on ideas, ideas, or creativity from Human Resources (HR) as the main production factor in its economic activities. The main resource in Creative Economy is creativity, namely creativity the capacity or ability to produce or create something unique, a solution to a problem, or something different from the standard.

There are 8 advantages of creative economy compared to traditional economy; one of them is collaborative . Ekonomi Kreatif brings together individuals from different fields and backgrounds.

The Special ID aims to open opportunities for disabled creators to benefit and participate in the growth of the Creative Economy. It also helps and supports the achievement of  Sustainable Development Goals .  Specifically Goal 8, namely 'to promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and the creation of decent jobs for all'._cc781905-5cde -3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_

In opening up new job opportunities, in line with creating disabled workers with the right skills and knowledge, To achieve this goal, The Special ID in 2019 has run a program called KITA Projekt 2019.

KITA Project is a collaboration project between The Special ID and Art Therapy Center (ATC) Widyatama . This project invites artists, designers, and creative industry players who have experience in their fields to work with students with mental (Autism, Asperger's, ADHD) and physical (Deaf/deaf) students majoring in Graphic Design at ATC Widyatama._cc781905-5cde- 3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ This project is the final stage of the three-year study period for students with disabilities with aspects of communication, socialization, and application of what has been learned so far. at the Job Training Institute, majoring in Graphic Design at the Widyatama Art Therapy Center.

One of the processes of working on a work is manual drawing, the lines created are original created by the creators of disabilities themselves.

KITA Projekt is expected to produce collaborative works in the form of sustainable products, so that they have the opportunity to become job opportunities for students with disabilities in the future. KITA Projekt 2019 does not only invite creative industry players to collaborate. This project also invites forums, institutions, organizations, foundations, and other creative industry supporters to be involved and be part of a more beneficial future of Indonesian art and design.

We are very aware that access for groups of persons with disabilities has received little attention. The increase in world population and the development of social reality which currently shows the high number of groups of people with disabilities. According to the Central Statistics Agency, that 12% of the total population in Indonesia is a group of people with disabilities (2016).

Like , what we all know is that there is a stigma circulating in society that people with disabilities, especially those with mental disabilities, are difficult to accept for work. For various reasons that closed this opportunity, through KITA Projekt, we want to spread the potential and talents that have received less attention.

To get maximum attention, we use methods or campaign styles that are easy to accept and attractive. The video above is a promotional media that contains an invitation for professional creative industry players to come directly to the Live Showcase event. An event that showcases the work of disabled creators (online portfolio can be seen here ) which is expected in this event creative actors can directly get to know creators with disabilities.
